The three fitters arrived and unloaded their van ready to bring the materials into the house at the arranged time and got straight on with the job. Mandy had even arranged a carpenter to pop in during the installation to ensure all the doors still worked properly after the new thick pile carpet was laid.

I did an online search for local carpet and flooring companies and Rivendell’s website has a nice feel to it and looked like they did what we wanted. It’s hard to know where to start because buying carpet is not something you do every day of the week.

As a creative digital agency we didn’t want a standard blue or grey carpet. We have hard flooring downstairs but wanted something different upstairs. Originally we had thought we would like a light, neutral colour and a natural carpet material.

I spoke to a couple of companies but Rob from Rivendell came in with a great selection of different samples and was really helpful. We found making the decision difficult because we had lots of people with lots of great ideas about what they wanted but when it came down to it, we spent time looking at different options including carpet and sisal and Rob’s expertise definitely helped influence our final decision.

“We went for the Sisal Super Boucle from Alternative Flooring which is a natural weave and slightly darker in colour that we had originally wanted, but with a fleck to hide a multitude of sins. We really love the overall look that completely reflects the look and feel of our modern office really well.

The whole fitting process was seamless. Once we made the decision it was ordered, the flooring fitters were booked in, they turned up on time, were sensitive to our needs, helpful and happy to work around us. I would like to thank Mandy and her team on a superb job well done.  I initially met with Mandy at the two bed flat that needed re-carpeting so she could measure up and talk me through the flooring options.  The flat is let out and the carpets needed to be hardwearing and value for money.  Her suggestions were very well received, including additional sound proofing underlay in the kitchen as a courtesy to the flat below.  The fitters arrived on the day she said they would, and completed the job quickly and efficiently and left the flat looking great.  I highly recommend Rivendell.
