Bring the Outdoors In

Whether you attempt to aid the world with eco-friendly living or simply like the aesthetics 2016 will see the outdoors making its way into our homes.

Predictions suggest that consumers will begin experimenting with bringing nature into every aspect of their home, from buying furniture which can be used both indoors and out, to large over the top greenery. We’ve even spotted interesting uses of green walls in kitchens used practically for growing herbs.

In fact, research shows that plants inside the home can actually boost productivity and host physical and mental benefits.

But what about your flooring? Well, artificial grass has become increasingly more popular, and we expect to see a lot more of it next year. Combine natural, soft woods with harsher metallic, which are evident in other rising trends for lighting. Faux fur rugs, and brushed velvet are both playful yet sophisticated and combined encourage relaxing silhouettes. As long as you harness a range of textiles you’ll be able to create warmth, colour, and equally as important, aesthetic interest in your home.
