All I Want For Christmas… is a Brand New Floor
December 23, 2014 6:19 pmThis year the team at Rivendell aren’t asking for much in their Christmas stockings.
In fact most of them, after seeing all of the beautiful carpet and flooring we have fitted this year, are wishing for a little home renovation themselves. Whether they prefer carpet, wood or vinyl there’s an abundance of choices for every room in your home.
Don’t forget that as the year comes to an end and we enter 2015, many of our manufacturers are introducing brand new ranges so why not start the New Year with a stunning transformation of your home?
As an additional incentive, if one was needed, our Winter Offer in conjunction with Fishers restaurant in Clifton proved so popular that we’ve extended it until end of Jan 2015. So you can dispel the post holiday blues with some great new flooring plus reward yourself with a meal out.
In the meantime, we thought we’d share some our teams Christmas lists they sent off to Santa.
Dear Santa,
All I want for Christmas this year is a beautiful new living room fit for the whole family on Christmas day and beyond.
You probably noticed when you visited us last year that our carpet is more than a bit worn.
I would like something warm and comfortable as well as versatile in terms of design and durability. As we enter the winter months there is nothing better than the warmth you get from a carpet underfoot. In addition to all of these practical features I also want something that is going to bring my lounge a touch of elegance and style.
Therefore this Christmas I would love to wake up to the new Victoria Carpet Shimmer range for the living room.
It is ideal for a busy family where there’s a decent amount of domestic traffic. The highly durable collection even offers understated opulence with a contemporary twist; a perfect combination. Just take a look for yourself:

Dear Father Christmas,
All I want for Christmas is a hallway that can withstand constant footfall.
Our hallway floor, as you can imagine, is subject to heavy traffic and are therefore more than a little faded and marked.
Hallway floors should be hardwearing and easy to clean, offering long lasting performance and durability but at the same time should really make a great first impression to visitors and family alike.
I have noticed that Kaindl are offering 4 collections which they are calling the ‘designs of tomorrow’s interior trends’ for 2015. The collection includes Authentic, Comfort, Creative and Solid ranges all of which are beautiful. There are two which particularly stood out for me. The first being the Authentic range where the basis for the collection is classic brushed oak with a number of surface decors and endless coloration options.
The Solid Collection is designed specifically for areas like my hallway where there’s a significant amount of domestic traffic. It also encompasses long-lasting, easy to care for, and acoustic properties much like that of vinyl tile.
I therefore kindly request a hallway transformation for the New Year.
Thank you in advance

To Santa Claus,
All I want for Christmas this year is a bathroom I can be proud of.
Currently my bathroom floor is a complete mess, in fact it is carpet – who has carpet in their bathroom, it is incredibly impractical. We really need a floor which can lend itself to a room with high levels of moisture without being damaged in the process.
Therefore I would love to rip up the carpet and replace it with luxury vinyl tiles. Other than easy to clean, the floor should incorporate long lasting performance and durability. And just because it isn’t carpet, I don’t want to miss out on the warmth and comfort which that provides. Vinyl tiles can even mimic more expensive designs such as wood, stone and tile.
With this is in mind, I would really love the Moduleo Stone Effect range which is not only beautiful but durable and hard-wearing too. Easy to install and easy to clean, the collection insulates both heat and sound for a great bathroom experience. Even more it also has a scuff and stain protection layer.
Thank you
Linda x
We hope you’ve found some inspiration from our Christmas flooring wishes and would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas from the team here at Rivendell Carpets and Flooring. We hope we can help transform your homes with stunning new floors during 2015!
